Though rates can rise by up to 25 percent in the long high season (Feb-Nov), luxury accommodation is surprisingly inexpensive. Dominating the town center, the elegant twin-towered Arlington Resort/Spa at 239 Central Ave is where Capone stayed when in town - and where President Clinton attended his Junior and Senior proms (tel 501/623-7771, fax 501/623-2243, ; $75-100/$100-130; bath and massage $45). The Margarete Motel , 217 Fountain St (tel 501/623-1192, fax 501/624-6043; $35-50), is one of several neighboring budget motels. The nearest place to camp is Gulpha Gorge Campground ($10; tel 501/624-3383), in the national park, two miles out on Hwy-70 B, off Hwy-70 E.
